Fun Football School Holiday & After School Programs

FUN FOOTBALL is an international football program created by UEFA instructor, Jan M. Hansen and former Manchester United and Denmark World Cup star, Jesper Olsen.

It is a new and exciting initiative in children’s sport where positive participation, team work, and developing confidence and self esteem in every child irrespective of ability, is the main focus.

The variety of unique activities and challenges, including the use of inflatable pitches, target nets, speed radars, free kick walls cater for children, both boys and girls, between the ages of 5-12. FUN FOOTBALL is a safe and productive way for your child to spend his or her school holiday break.

Since 1994, with over 42,000 participants per year, the FUN FOOTBALL program has proved enormously successful amongst school children in Europe.

Having had over 3000 participants be part of the Fun Football School Holiday Program phenomenon so far, don’t miss out on all the fun and REGISTER NOW!!!

Fun Football Principles

Fun Football Schools use enjoyment, a variety of unique apparatus and positive coaching to motivate and captivate its participants. The program integrates a fun approach with an intensive training program that encourages growth and skill development.

Fun Football will improve your game by…

  • Emphasising the technical aspects of development, not the physical aspects
  • Allocating 16 participants to one coach, giving coaches time to go into individual skill development
  • Match play revolving around small sides games (2v2, 3v3 up to maximum 8v8) to encourage more ball touches
  • Providing UNIQUE BREAK ACTIVITIES and by giving exciting opportunity to take time out of group play to concentrate on individual skill testing and measurement
  • Requiring coaches to do unique skill drills and celebrate the game with their players
  • Employing coaches who are able to create a positive and enjoyable training environment that revolves around the players and not the coach.

Fun Football Goals…

  • For the participants to enjoy themselves – social experience
  • For the participants to accelerate skill development and gain a better awareness of the game – playing development
  • For the participants to experience prolonged and sustained exercise – physical activity
  • For the participants to get the opportunity to succeed – psychological experience

Hear from Jesper Olsen – CEO of Fun Football and former World Cup star and Manchester United player

Hi I’m former MANCHESTER UNITED and DENMARK WORLD CUP player Jesper Olsen. When I was growing up, playing football was a big part of my life. Enjoying the game and working hard to improve my skills, team play, confidence and fitness was always my main goal. This is the reason I become a professional footballer and played for the biggest football club in the world.

Now as CEO of Fun Football Schools and living in Victoria, I am excited about bringing this great program to Australian kids, whether they just want to have fun or want to become professional footballers.

The Danish FA Football School Holiday Program has supplemented and enhanced the football curriculums of junior players throughout Denmark.  With over 42,000 participants per year in Denmark alone, the Fun Football program has already taken Australia by storm, by providing junior soccer players with a unique and innovative experience playing the world game.

The variety of unique activities and challenges include the use of inflatable pitches, target nets, speed radars, free kick walls and unique skill tests to help develop player’s ability.

I am excited to have Archie Thompson as the new ambassador for Fun Football. Currently a Socceroo and Melbourne Victory star, Archie plays his football with so much fun and enthusiasm, which is exactly what Fun Football is all about. I am sure he will be a positive inspiration and great role model to all children who attend a Fun Football program.

Our School Holiday Program offers all participants, boys and girls, regardless of ability, a chance to undergo a fun and intensive training program that is different to anything they have experienced before.

I hope to see you at the upcoming school holiday programs as we endeavour to carry on the Fun Football experience in 2007.

One Day Program 5 – 7 year olds

The Fun Football School Holiday Program 5 – 7 yr olds philosophy is: fun – fun – fun and the more you touch the ball, the better player you become.

There will be lots of opportunity to improve your passing technique, dribbling and enjoy small sided games with supervision by our accredited Fun Football Coaches.

All participants will be allocated into groups of 16 for the entire day. Together with your "15 new team mates" you will experience lots of fun technical training, with "the ball" being central.

It is our belief, that 1 ball per participant makes for the optimum in coaching.

If a child has 2 to 3 years experience we recommend you consider our new:

Two Day 6 – 7 year old Program

Two Day Program 6 – 7 & 8 – 9 year olds

It is important to have the confidence to use your imagination, when playing football. Learn to do a fantastic dribble or a heel pass, so your opponent is left gasping.

The Fun Football School Holiday Program emphasis is on football expression. A trick can be many different things, and in reality it is the individual player’s ability and confidence that sets the limit of what can be achieved.

There will of course also be opportunity in the fixed modules for the individual technique, such as kicks, control, heading the ball and different dribbles/tricks.

All participants are allocated into groups of 16 and will be assigned a specific Fun Football accredited coach for the entire two days.
Where possible, each group of 16 will be made up according to individual’s age and experience.

There will be more than adequate time to improve technique, different kicking methods to score a goal and to learn tricks.

Two Day Program 10 – 12 year olds

The Fun Football School Holiday Program for 10 - 12 year olds caters for both beginners and experienced football players.

All participants are allocated into groups of 16 according to individuals age and experience as indicated on the registration form.

The Fun Football School Holiday Program for 10 – 12 year olds has been developed to further enhance the participant’s current club training program with our fun, unique, challenging drills. Participants will be challenged using unique fun football apparatus such as our free kick wall, top and bottom corner precision net and speed radar, all competed at different technical levels.

Girls at Fun Football

Girls are encouraged to take part at all Fun Football School Holiday Programs, as they are an integral part of the phenomenal growth of football in Victoria.

Therefore we have focused even more on girls taking part to encourage this growth. Our program caters for both beginners and experienced female players.

Whether you play club soccer or for your school we have a program to suit you and your friends.
